Tony Charlesworth

Tony Charlesworth has over 20 years' experience as a journalist, television producer/director, university teacher, and consultant.

He has worked in every continent apart from Antarctica as a staff journalist and producer/director for the BBC, APTN, and ABC. He started in the media as a Reuters trainee in Paris.

Tony currently runs Tony Charlesworth Associates Ltd. (www.tonycharlesworth.com) a production, communications and training business, working with a wide range of organisations.

At the BBC he made news packages and location reports over eight years for Newsnight, the Nine o'clock News, the Six o'clock News, Breakfast, and Yesterday in Parliament.

He was Senior Producer/Director for the production division of the AP's television arm, APTN, for ten years.

Tony won a Gold medal at the New York Television Festival for media work on behalf of P&O.

He is a Visiting Lecturer in Media at the London College of Communication (formerly London College of Printing).
